A national family story-sharing campaign was launched by the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) in Shanghai on May 9 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Themed with "Eulogizing the Party, Inheriting Family Traditions," the campaign aimed to promote good family education and the family traditions of the revolutionaries.

Organized by local women's federations, family story-sharing activities were held in tandem in cities and places which were renowned for rich revolutionary heritage activity and are of great significance in Party history. They include Shanghai and Jiaxing City, in East China's Zhejiang Province, where the first CPC National Congress was held in 1921; Jinggangshan, or the Jinggang Mountains, in East China's Jiangxi Province, renowned as the "cradle of the Chinese revolution;" Zunyi City, in Southwest China's Guizhou Province, where the Zunyi Meeting, regarded as a crucial turning point of the Long March, was held; Yan'an City in Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, then headquarters of the CPC and the center of the Communist revolution from 1935 to 1948; and Xibaipo Village in North China's Hebei Province, where the leadership of the CPC was garrisoned from May 1948 till early 1949, drawing up the blueprint for a new country. The final leg will be held in Beijing, where the CPC emerged victoriously.
During these activities, the participants, including descendants of revolutionary martyrs, representatives of role model families and guides from revolutionary memorial halls, shared touching stories of revolutionary martyrs and how they inherit and pass on the revolutionary spirit.
Huang Xiaowei, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, attended the story-sharing activity held in Jinggangshan on May 17.

Inspired by the stories, Huang stressed keeping the instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping in mind, promoting the great revolutionary spirit across the country, and passing on the good family traditions of the revolutionaries from generation to generation.
Huang urged women's federations at all levels to make good use of local revolutionary resources, promote the publicity and education of the histories of the Party, New China reform and opening-up and socialist development, make continued and solid practical efforts for women and guide families to follow the Party's leadership.
